Community Leadership & Achievements

Through the years I have been involved in many aspects of life in the borough. From road improvements, water & sewer and recreation, I strived to provide improvements that would make the borough a better place to live.

Alburtis Downtown Improvement Committee

Chairman of the Alburtis Downtown Improvement Committee. Committee was responsible for the Alburtis Business Revitalization Program. This featured sidewalk and streetscape improvement project on Main Street and façade grant program for historic buildings. We also received approval for the PA Historical Museum Commission state historical marker for Lockridge Furnace. We also placed benches and planted trees.

Alburtis Playground of Adventures

Being part of the committee that organized, planned, financed with donations and built the original Playground of Adventures. The committee managed the 5 day construction by area residents, volunteers and local businesses. It rained those 5 days.

Borough of Alburtis

In my years on Borough Council, many improvements were made with fiscal responsibility. Some of these projects included a new borough hall, 2nd Street improvement project, public work facilities, water & sewer projects and recreation facilities.

Scouting America

Formerly Boy Scouts of America, I have been a scout leader mentoring generations of area scouts. I am also associated with Camp Spirit in Fogelsville as Vice President on the Board of Directors. Camp Spirit is a 23-acre facility designed for and used by groups associated with scouting.
